Nolan Smith went the distance on the mound Monday to give the Wilmington baseball team a 4-0 win over Peotone.
Smith (1-0, 1.40 ERA) surrendered six hits while fanning three through seven innings.
The ‘Cats (9-8) scored four in the second inning to give him his run support.
Mark Youngquist doubled to lead off the second.
Justin Walinski hit a rope right back up the box to bring home Youngquist for the opening tally to this game, 1-0.
