A stubborn fire caused extensive smoke damage Thursday morning to a Lakewood Shores home then rekindled 12 hours later calling for a second response from firefighters.
The Wilmington Fire Protection District was dispatched at 9:33 a.m. to 1807 Roberts St., Wilmington. While en route a report from dispatch was that smoke could be scene coming from the attic.
Wilmington Fire Chief Tim Zlomie then called for a full still, upgrading the call for assistance from neighboring departments.
