Anna Hillis

WILMINGTON—Anna Julia Hillis (nee Mack), 87, of Wilmington, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, June 15, 2018 at her home.  
Anna was born on July 5, 1930 in Braceville, IL to the late John and Kate Mack.  
Anna enjoyed being outside and found peace and serenity in her flower gardens.  She was a lover of antiques and collected many treasures throughout her life.  Her most coveted treasure was her family.  Anna was the matriarch and “Queen” of her family; a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  
Surviving are her husband, Thomas E. Hillis; five children, Susan (Lou) Baker, Bill (Vicky) Weidling, Robert Weidling, Henry Weidling, and Marianne (Chris) Quirk; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Victoria Kurth; son, Ralph Weidling; granddaughter, Anna Marie Jones; and her former husband and friend, Robert P. Weidling.  
Cremation rites have been accorded and a  private inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
