LaVerne Naretto

GARDNER—LaVerne A. Naretto (nee Baudino), 90, of Gardner, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at Heritage Health in Dwight, IL.  
Born March 20, 1927 to Anton and Elizabeth “Bessy” (nee Howard) Baudino.  LaVerne farmed with her husband Joseph, in the Reddick and Braceville areas for more than 49 years. She also worked as a book keeper at the Neilson Grain Elevator in Reddick.  She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington, IL.  
Surviving are two sons: Alan (Ann) Naretto of Odell, IL and Brian (Laurie) Naretto of Reddick; one daughter: Paula (Charles) Roper of Bloomington, IL; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grand-daughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.  
Preceding her in death were her husband, Joseph L. Naretto, whom she married April 6, 1947 in Coal City; her parents; one great-grand-daughter; two brothers: Buddy “Bud” and John Baudino; and five sisters: Elizabeth McWhorter, Gerry Davis, Grace Mulhall, Lillian Metille, and Anna Marie Trotter.  
Family and friends will meet at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington, Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.  Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.  
Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, IL Friday, Jan. 19 from 4p.m. to 7 p.m.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be directed to Kankakee Valley Hospice.
