Cole in the Senior Spotlight for December

The Reed-Custer High School Senior Spotlight winner for the month of December is Caelan Cole.

Caelan is the daughter of Phillip and Catherine Hollis.

During her high school career, Caelan was involved in Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Comet Community Leaders (CCL), FCCLA. She was also All-Conference in Soccer, All-Area Soccer, Honorable Mention All-Conference Basketball, Academic All-Conference Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball, as well as being on the High Honor Roll.

Her future plans are to attend a 4-year university to major in Biology/Kinesiology, play soccer, and then go to Colorado for Physician Assistant school.

Here are a few thoughts from Caelan’s teachers:

Mr. Gleixner says that Caelan “is an outstanding student-athlete who is a great leader. She is definitely a role model to her younger teammates and classmates. Caelan continues to impress me as a person and will be very successful in life.”

Mr. Randall thinks that Caelan “is a kind, hard-working, unselfish teammate who always gives 100%. She is the kind of player that every coach would love to have on his team.”

Mrs. Lee believes that Caelan is “a great student, and an even better person!”

Ms. Baron appreciates that Caelan is “a kind and creative student who has an eye for detail. She has an exceptional work ethic and is always willing to assist others. Her ceramics projects this year have been outstanding.”

Mrs. Leveille is “thrilled to hear that Caelan will be spotlighted!!! Caelan is a very bright and beautiful young woman. She has a positive personality and a great disposition! She is a hard worker and takes pride in putting her best efforts into her work.”

Miss Zastrow says that Caelan is “a positive light in the classroom! No matter what the situation, I can always count on her to have a smile on her face and a positive attitude!”

Mr. Johnston believes that Caelan is “a tremendous student athlete. She is an extremely hard worker and always puts forth her best effort no matter the task.”

Mr. Welsh appreciates that Caelan “always has a smile that brightens your day; even when things are rough, she always finds a way to stay positive!”

Mr. Wolf thinks that Caelan “is a talented, kind-hearted young lady who treats everyone like a friend. I always see her with a smile on her face, and that attitude is contagious to everyone around her. She is very deserving of this recognition, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for her.

Mr. Smith enjoys “a daily visit with Caelan. She is a humble, thoughtful, intelligent and funny young woman. I will be sad to see her go next year, but I am excited for her future. She is bound to be a success wherever she goes and whatever she does.”

As a final thought, Caelan’s advice to younger students is, “Be accepting of constructive criticism; it is the best way to grow and improve. And don’t be afraid to ask questions.”
