Dole named Wilmington's new Deputy Police Chief

The Wilmington Police Department has a new Deputy Chief.
On June 20, Mayor Ben Dietz swore Sgt. Justin Dole into the new leadership position, after being recommended for the role by Chief Adam Zink.
Dole has served as the second in command with the department since January, performing many of the administrative duties consistent with those of a Deputy Chief
“In this time, he has proven himself to be a leader within the department, and fully capable of fulfilling the role of Deputy Chief,” Zink wrote in a memo supporting the appointment. “In his 10 years with the Wilmington Police Department, Justin Dole has proven himself to be an asset to our city, serving in a variety of leadership positions throughout his career. Since his promotion to sergeant in 2017, he has further developed his skills, attending Northwestern’s School of Police Staff and Command, and has successfully served as a supervisor/leader/mentor for the entirety of the police department.”
The members of the City Council voted unanimously to appoint Dole to the position.
