Hill is in the Reed-Custer ‘Spotlight’ for November

The Reed-Custer High School Senior Spotlight winner for the month of November is Chris Hill.

Chris is the son of Chris and Shawna Hill. During his high school career, Chris was involved in Football, Basketball, National Honor Society, the ICE Leadership Conference, and was Academic All-Conference in football and basketball.

He was also on the Honor Roll, was a volunteer coach for the Junior Comets, and was the 2021 Homecoming King.

Chris’ future plans are to attend a 4-year university to study Informational Technology.

Here are a few thoughts from Chris’s teachers.

Mrs. Bugg says that Chris is “the kind of guy that always does the right thing even when no one is looking. He is kind, responsible and mature. He is a perfect example of what Reed Custer’s finest looks like.”

Mr. Horton thinks that Chris is “a gentleman. He is honest, hard-working, and humble. His way of life is to be admired.”

Mr. Dubbert believes that Chris is “a hard worker and his positive attitude is contagious. He always like to learn new things and picks up new ideas quickly.”

Mr. Walsh says that Chris “has been a pleasure to work with so far in the tech program this year. He has always had a positive attitude towards learning and doing what we need, has been kind while doing so, and has a great sense of humor. It has been great getting to know him so far this year!”

Mrs. Redwitz acknowledges that Chris is “just a great young adult!!! He is friendly, outgoing, smart and caring. He has a great personality and is trustworthy. He constantly has a smile on his face and talks to everyone.”

Mr. Johnston believes that Chris is “a great kid and always goes out of his way to help others. He is a great leader!”

Mrs. Leveille was impressed “with his personality and people skills. Chris was always polite and willing to help others. Chris always had a positive attitude and was very down to earth and flexible. I like how easy going and cheerful he was. All around great person!!”

Mrs. Dennis thinks that Chris is “a kind, respectful, and polite student. He works hard and has a positive attitude daily.”

Ms. Baron says that Chris is “a good-humored and polite student. He makes everyone in ceramics class smile and has created some impressive work this year. He brings a positive energy and fun attitude to class each day.”

Mrs. Lee believes that Chris is “wonderful and is always a joy to be around! He is someone who always goes out of his way to smile and say hi every time he walks by. Chris is kind to everyone that he encounters no matter how well he knows them. He is also an extremely hard worker who is always willing to work hard to succeed. Chris truly is one of the nicest students that I have taught, and I am so proud of his success!”

Mrs. Arseneau says that she has “loved getting to know Chris over the past 4 years! He is, and always has been such a sweet, respectful and bright student. Chris is kind to all of his classmates which is so refreshing to see. I am confident that he will do great things after high school.”

As a final thought, Chris’s advice to younger students is, “You can only control what you can control.”
