Three seats to open on park board

Three seats on the Wilmington Park Board will be up for election during the April 1 Consolidated election.
So far the current board members filling those seats have taken out nominating petitions seeking re-election.
The four-year terms on the board are currently filled by Pat Nugent - current president (elected 2021), Ben Stickel - current secretary (appointed) and Jessica Melhorn (appointed).
Not up for re-election are trustees Katie Francis and Norman Weck.
Petition packets can be picked up at the Wilmington Park District office at 315 N Water St. for anyone interested in running for the park board.
The first day for filing petition packets will be Tuesday, Nov 12 at 8 a.m. The deadline for turning in petitions is 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18.
