Wildcat golfers can’t tame the Dragons

    The Wilmington varsity golf team traveled to Grant Park on Thursday, where they suffered a loss to the Dragons by 22 strokes.
    The Wildcats finished with a team score of 204, while Grant Park led the way with 182.
    Ryan Woodall was the low score of 46, while Nolan Smith followed with a 50.
    Tyler Long and Garrett Roth rounded out the top scores with 51 and 57, respectively.
    Wilmington (2-7) traveled to Sandwich on Tuesday for more conference action.

    The Wildcats were close to picking up a conference win on Tuesday, but unfortunately were edged by Peotone and Manteno.
    Wilmington finished just four strokes behind the Panthers, as the team dropped their fourth and fifth conference losses on the season.
    Woodall had a good night, finishing with a 42, while Roth followed close behind with a 47.
    Long and Jake Rader rounded out the top four, earning a 50 and 60, respectively.
